    Greetings!

    The Central Texas Conference Cabinet has released a new short video featuring Bishop Lowry updating local churches, clergy and lay leadership on the most recent Cabinet Guidelines for how to best respond to the novel coronavirus COVID-19. Please take a few short moments to view Bishop Lowry’s latest message at ctcumc.org/cabinet-COVID-guidelines or on the conference Facebook page. You may also access a pdf of the Cabinet Guidelines for Responding to COVID-19 here.

    Information about and reactions to the COVID-19 continue to rapidly evolve with city and county officials updating their regulations and orders seemingly every day. This is a challenging time for us all. However, as Bishop Lowry said in his video late last week and stressed again this week, we must be a people guided by faith and not driven by fear.  As I said yesterday in our ZOOM meeting Amy and I are here for you.  Call us directly if there is anything we can do to help you as you embrace this new way of doing ministry.

    We will continue to closely monitor the situation and regularly provide updates. Please watch the conference COVID-19 Resource page (ctcumc.org/coronavirus-covid-19-updates) for the latest information. The page was just updated yesterday with a bevy of Digital Ministry Resources, such as

    • info on easy to access Live Streaming Service;
    • online streaming licenses required for those who want to employ music and other media in online worship;
    • Discipleship & Learning resources, including links to all of Bishop Lowry’s teaching sessions since 2015; and
    • free online meeting applications for staff meetings and small groups

    All of these resources are designed to help churches stay well connected and engaged in the vital ministries needed by our communities.

    Our prayers are with you.

    In Christ,

    Brad
