These are a few of the Georgetown area missions and ministries that our church supports.

 

 

Stephen Ministries is a program of lay pastoral counseling and caregiving.  If you or someone you know is experiencing a difficult time in life, consider a Stephen Minister.

The Caring Place serves Georgetown and Northern Williamson County by providing emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis. 

St. John's collects food donations outside the sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month.

 

 

Meals on Wheels provides meals to seniors who need them each day. St. John's helps deliver meals for this ministry to the homebound. 

Contact the church office for more information.

 

 

St. John's hosts a food pantry to help those in need.

The pantry is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm.
Recipients must have a valid ID and can only visit the pantry once every three months.

R.O.C.K., Ride On Center for Kids, located in Georgetown, Texas, is a non-profit provider of therapeutic riding and Hippotherapy for individuals with cognitive and physical challenges.    

These therapies benefit the bodies, minds, and spirits of many children and adults in our community and we continue to expand in the areas of research, education, and service to injured members of our armed forces.

 

 

Bridges to Growth Resource Center offers a free library that circulates infant and toddler toys, puzzles, music, books that are not only fun, but also aid children in their learning and development.

 

Faith in Action Caregivers-Georgetown is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Georgetown residents 65 years and older maintain an independent lifestyle.

Our volunteers provide transportation services free of charge to area seniors for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other important errands.

 

 

Summer Sports Camp!

June 5-9, 9am-12:30pm, for ages 3(& potty-trained) through incoming 6th grade

Cost: $40 per child

Submit all registration materials by Monday, May 29.  All late registrations will be accepted according to space availability.

Performances: Jul. 29 at 6pm

PrayFAST (Pray For A Soldier Team) is a prayer ministry based at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. 

This ministry reaches out to soldiers at their deployment time with an offer to have someone pray for them while they are away and for three months after they return.

Praying for the Soldier the additional three months helps the Soldiers and their family members to rebuild their relationships after the deployment.

 

 

For more than 50 years, United Methodist congregations have been taking part in a special One Great Hour of Sharing offering, laying the foundation for UMCOR’s ministry of relief and hope.

 

 

The Georgetown Ministerial Alliance (GMA) is an association of local religious leaders that support one another in personal ministry through prayer, fellowship, orientation, and sharing resources.

The GMA serves the community by providing trans-denominational worship services, initiating cooperative programs of benefit to the community, and supporting the ministries of religious and non-profit, service-based organizations within the Georgetown community.
